Privacy Policy
Effective date: 19 August 2026 · Last updated: 19 August 2026
Create Space is built on a simple promise: coach, not spy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are
Create Space ("Create Space", "we", "us", "our") provides a private, data-driven leadership-coaching service at createspace.in. We are based in India and act as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). The service is founded and operated by Srivatsa Kadaba. For any privacy question, contact hello@createspace.in.
[Before publish: insert the registered legal-entity name and address once incorporated.]
2. Scope: what this covers today
Create Space is in early access, so this policy describes two phases:
- Today. The only personal data we collect is what you send us through our contact / early-access form, plus basic technical information every website receives.
- When the app's meeting-analysis features go live. We describe below what data those features will involve so you understand what you would be opting into. No meeting audio is processed today. Before any audio feature is switched on for you, we will ask for separate, specific, in-product consent.
3. The data we collect
Information you give us (contact / early-access form): your name, email address, the area you're interested in, and any message you write.
Information collected automatically: basic technical and log data such as your device/browser type, approximate location inferred from your IP address, and pages viewed. If we use cookies or privacy-respecting analytics, we will disclose them here and, where required, ask for your consent.
When meeting-analysis features are live (future): meeting audio you choose to record or upload; transcripts derived from that audio; and computed conversational-dynamics metrics such as talk/listen ratio, questions vs. telling, interruptions, and pauses.
4. Why we use it & our legal basis
We use your data only for the purposes we tell you about:
- To respond to your enquiry and manage early-access invitations;
- To provide the coaching insight you ask for (when app features are live);
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Under the DPDP Act, our legal basis is your consent, which you give by clear affirmative action (for example, submitting the form or opting in within the app). Your consent is limited to the purposes stated here, and you can withdraw it at any time — see Your rights.
5. Meeting audio & the "coach, not spy" promise
This is the heart of Create Space, so we want to be exact about it. When meeting-analysis is active:
- We store the lesson, not the tape. Your audio is turned into a transcript and behavioral metrics ("the lesson"). We then delete the raw recording ("the tape") within [X hours] of analysis, retaining only the derived insights that are useful to your coaching. [Before publish: confirm the exact deletion trigger and window with engineering and counsel, including backups and any vendor retention, so this statement is literally true.]
- Private to you. Your analysis is private to you as an individual. It is never shared with your employer, manager, or HR, and we do not sell your personal data.
- Other people in the meeting. A recording may capture voices other than yours. You are responsible for having the legal right and any necessary consent to record and submit a meeting, and for notifying participants where the law requires it. We process other participants' voices only to generate your private insight; we do not use them to build profiles of those individuals, and they are covered by the same deletion described above. If you are a participant in someone else's recording and have a request, contact us at hello@createspace.in.
- Service providers. Any speech-to-text or AI/cloud provider we use to process audio is bound by data-protection terms, is not permitted to use your audio to train its own models, and processes data only to deliver the service to you.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the service (for example, hosting, email, and — in future — transcription/analysis), under contracts that limit them to processing on our instructions;
- Legal / safety recipients where we are required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete it. In practice:
- Contact / early-access data: kept while we're in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted [before publish: state a period, e.g. up to 24 months].
- Raw meeting audio (future): deleted shortly after analysis as described in Section 5.
- Derived insights (future): kept for your account so you can track progress, and deleted when you delete them or close your account.
If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- Correct, complete, update, or erase your personal data;
- Withdraw consent at any time — it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give, and we will stop further processing;
- Grievance redressal (see below), and to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India;
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these, email hello@createspace.in. We aim to respond within [30 days] [before publish: confirm the response window against the current DPDP Rules].
9. Grievance redressal
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, please contact our grievance contact first so we can put it right:
Grievance Contact: Srivatsa Kadaba · hello@createspace.in [before publish: consider a dedicated grievance@ or privacy@ alias]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children
Create Space is a workplace tool intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security & breach notification
We use reasonable safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but if a personal-data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required, and act quickly to contain it.
12. International users
Create Space is operated from India. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to your data being processed in India and by our service providers, under appropriate safeguards. Where we transfer data across borders, we use recognised protections such as standard contractual clauses. If you are in the EU/UK, you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service grows or the law changes. When we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
